Once Upon a Time...

Dixie-Willard-Design

It was the end of a long, exhausting day. Sarah had been crazy busy working on her business in between doing laundry, refereeing screaming matches, and trying to figure out if the dog really had just eaten an entire tube of antibiotic ointment. The kids had had baseball games back-to-back, dinner ended up being cereal at 9 pm, and everybody was cranky. Her husband got the kids in bed while she poured a large glass of wine.

Climbing into her own bed with her wine, Sarah flipped on the TV. As the weatherman droned on in the background, she looked around her room. Basic bedding, no artwork, and just a bed and two nightstands that they’d had for years. Why hadn’t she ever gotten around to finishing this room? Oh, yeah, because by the time she’d done the basics, decorated the kids’ rooms, and made the living room livable, she had burned out. What she wouldn’t give for a beautiful, calm retreat where she and her husband could feel a little spoiled, especially on days like today. With their schedules, though, getting time to plan it out, do all the shopping, and put it all together just wasn’t going to happen any time soon. If only there was a way to have a fairy godmother wave a magic wand and *poof* everything would be done…

Allow me to introduce myself. I’m your fairy godmother. I’ve got a magic wand (my design skills) that I can wave and help out with everything from planning to shopping to putting it all together. Really. (You will have to pay for the items and for my services, though. We’re not actually in a fairy tale.) In the next few weeks I’ll be talking a little bit more about who I am, what I do, and who I do it for. Stick around and check me out. You may be surprised by what having a designer can do for you. Bibbity… Bobbity…
